How it works
The finder asks three short questions: what you’re trying to do, how comfortable you are with new tools, and your budget. Based on your answers, it matches you to a category — writing, images, coding, video, research, or automation — and highlights the pick that best fits your situation, along with two other solid options in case you want to compare.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to pay for an AI tool to get good results?
No. Every category includes at least one strong free-tier option. Paid tools generally add higher usage limits, priority access, or more advanced features — useful once you know you’ll use a tool regularly, but not required to get started.
What if I want to use AI for more than one thing?
Retake the quiz with a different answer to your first question. Most people end up using two or three tools across different categories rather than one tool for everything — that’s normal, and each category here is picked independently.
How do you decide which tool is the “best match”?
The match is based on your comfort level and budget answers, not a ranking of which tool is objectively better. A beginner on a free budget and an experienced developer with a business budget will often get different recommendations in the same category, because the right tool depends on how you plan to use it.
Will the recommendations change over time?
The AI tools space moves fast, so we periodically review and update the picks in each category. If you think a recommendation is outdated, let us know.
